We’re excited to share the success of our recent pilot project—a major milestone in pharmaceutical waste management. Our cutting-edge method combines advanced oxidation with our engineering expertise, achieving remarkable results in reducing complex substances such as biguanides and alcohols like in wastewater. Typically, alcohols are used for their antiseptic properties in the medical field but are challenging to eliminate from wastewater.

Our treatment successfully reduced biguanide concentrations by 97% and brought Butanol levels and their residual by-products down to nearly zero after a multi-stage advanced oxidation process. These outstanding results not only highlight our product’s competitive advantage in the market but also showcase the Mellifiq staff´s high-level engineering skills.
