Recycling plant orders Mellifiq activated carbon to measure gas levels
Introduction.
The client for this project is a company with a long history in Sweden, having been founded in 1939. Today, the company has over 1,600 employees and operates over 90 waste recycling plants in the whole country.
In addition to recycling services, the company also offers waste management services and consulting services where they help businesses get started with a circular economy.
The problem.
In this case, the company’s recycling plant in a Swedish city uses activated carbon in an equalization filter, in order to measure gas levels in the recycling process. This is a step in the process of recycling refrigerators.
The company was looking for more activated carbon to use in their plant.
The solution.
The company decided to order a significant amount of Mellifiq activated carbon. Despite the order being placed with short notice, we were able to quickly initiate procedures for delivering the filtering material gradually during the next 12 months, to the satisfaction of our client.
Activated carbon is a form of carbon that is specialized in adsorption, excelling in removing impurities from air and water. Activated carbon can be used in many different water and air applications, and treatment processes can be tailored even more by choosing specific activated carbon types for specific applications (e.g. coconut shell-based activated carbon for water filtration applications).
