Prominent Nordic salmon producer decreases mortality by 10% in RAS system

Substantial reduction of bacterial development thanks to Mellifiq ozone technology

Water quality and fish mortality have always been a challenge in RAS fish farms, and a concluded on-site evaluation at the largest fish farmer in Scandinavia showed over 10% mortality decrease on fingerling production.  

Thanks to the ozone treatment, the water is now clearer and the bacterial growth highly reduced – which leads to higher survival rates. Water treatment with ozone also brings another major advantage: less need for manual labor and chemical use.
