Introduction.
Mellifiq enhances comfort for both children and elderly in multipurpose building
This time, we are looking at a renovated and rebuilt property in one of Sweden’s many cities.
Ever since the beginning of the renovation and rebuilding process, the plan was to gather and host several different services in the building, such as elderly care, secure housing, and a preschool. This was due to the fact that the property was too large to host any single service or activity, and the municipality was looking to make the most out of the property.
The problem.
As part of the rebuilding process, a new kitchen was built in the property. The kitchen was meant to serve other properties as well, and due to this, the authorities raised the kitchen exhaust standards and made the treatment requirements stricter.
In short, the municipality now needed a new treatment solution that could meet these requirements and we at Mellifiq were happy to assist them with this!
The solution.
The municipality opted for a high-performance ozone solution, namely the Ozonetech RENA Kitchen Solutions (RENA 10), manufactured by us at Mellifiq.
It is our state-of-the-art ozone system for air treatment in commercial kitchens. It keeps the kitchen ducts free from grease buildups by removing grease particles from the exhaust air. At the same time, it also removes odor particles from the air, preventing any odor problems from arising.
Since grease buildups are kept away from the ducts, eliminating any risk for duct fires, you drastically improve fire safety in the kitchen. The improved fire safety also makes it possible to build ducts using cheaper material.
Evaluation.
The renovated and rebuilt property was finally inaugurated in September 2020, and the municipality as well as all the staff in the building can count on Mellifiq’s solution to remove all the grease and odor particles in the exhaust air!
