Mellifiq successfully decolors wastewater at Dutch textile factory
Introduction.
97% decolorization achieved with Mellifiq ozone-based delivery
This time, we are visiting the Netherlands where we are helping out a factory specializing in textile dyeing.
The problem.
When it comes to industrial wastewater, it is incredibly important to treat it thoroughly before releasing into the municipal sewage system. Normally, municipal sewage systems are not designed to handle such polluted water, and with stricter regulations on the horizon, industrial companies need to find reliable treatment solutions for their wastewater.
In this case, dyeing textiles generates large volumes of colored water that must be purified sufficiently before it is let out into the sewage system.
The solution.
In order to give our client the best possible solution, we started off with an extensive pilot project. Using the findings from the pilot project, we went on to design and configure an Ozonetech RENA Vivo treatment system, which we delivered and commissioned on-site in the spring of 2018.
Using state-of-the-art ozone generators, the RENA Vivo system produces highly concentrated ozone that it uses to successfully treat water. To top it off, the generators only use the ambient air as its raw material when producing ozone, which is both comfortable and cheap. Managing the RENA Vivo system is also a breeze since it is fitted with a very intuitive control system.
Evaluation.
Thanks to our highly effective ozone system, our client managed to achieve an astonishing decolorization rate of 97%.
Like this, they are sure to stay on the local authorities’ good side for a long, long time.
