Project description and aim

We have several exciting projects in designing and delivering turnkey water treatment systems.

In warm climates, cooling towers are a key part of the infrastructure, particularly in large industrial facilities. Since the evaporation process leads to significant water losses, there are considerable environmental benefits to be gained from using water more efficiently – especially in regions facing water scarcity. The purpose of this thesis project is to evaluate solutions that can reduce water consumption and enable water reuse.

The project includes the following tasks:

  • Literature review
  • Create a research plan according to the time schedule
  • Experimental tests and test analysis
  • Evaluation of treatment techniques
  • Thesis writing
  • Thesis presentation

 

As a thesis student, we consider you part of our team and organization, and you are welcome to participate in internal activities. The work will be conducted at our headquarters in Hägersten, Stockholm, in close collaboration with a strong team of engineers.

Personal profile

The project is suitable for students with the ability to work independently and creatively.

We expect our applicants to have the following qualifications:

  • BSc in Environmental-, Chemical Engineering or similar process-oriented engineering fields
  • Fluent in Swedish and proficient in English
  • Have a strong academic record
  • Valid driver´s license

Scope

Expected duration: 20 weeks/30 HP/credits
