Mellifiq has concluded its collaboration with Axolot Holding: customer projects continue with unchanged responsibility
Mellifiq AB and Axolot Solutions Holding AB (“Axolot Holding”) have now completed the agreement reached between the parties in September to conclude their collaboration. Mellifiq remains, as before, the customers’ contractual party with full delivery and service responsibility, and selects the technology best suited to each customer’s water.
The collaboration concerned a reactor solution for electrocoagulation, used as a component in certain complete systems for industrial water treatment. In 2024, Mellifiq acquired Axolot Holding’s then operating company. It is the operating company’s license to the reactor solution that has now reverted to Axolot Holding. The company and its customer agreements remain within the Mellifiq group. In connection with this, the company is changing its name, and its operations will henceforth be conducted entirely under the Mellifiq brand.
Mellifiq remains the contractual party in all existing customer agreements and fulfills them in full, including delivery, installation, commissioning, service, spare parts and consumables. Customer relationships remain with Mellifiq, and customer agreements, points of contact and project organizations are not affected in any way.
Mellifiq has long experience in developing and delivering complete system solutions for industrial water and air treatment. Every plant featuring the reactor solution delivered since 2024 has been sold, engineered, built and commissioned by Mellifiq, all the way from customer dialogue, water analysis and process design to engineering, system integration, project management, installation, commissioning and service. Axolot Holding’s role has mainly been the manufacturing of the reactor. The reactor is one of many components in the complete treatment plant. Customer responsibility, process expertise and execution have rested with Mellifiq and will continue to do so.
In each project, Mellifiq selects the solution that best meets the customer’s water, needs and requirements, using its own and other suppliers’ technologies within electrocoagulation and other treatment methods. Mellifiq and Axolot Holding are independent companies, each with its own offering. Any deliveries made by Axolot Holding on its own going forward fall outside Mellifiq’s undertaking.
The license has been offset against the shares that Axolot Holding received in the 2024 acquisition. The transaction does not affect Mellifiq’s liquidity, and the share capital remains unchanged.
