Offshore construction company installs ozone generators to keep offshore provisions fresh
Introduction.
Our current customer has its base in the United Arab Emirates, being a contractor specializing in steel structures and offshore construction in the oil and gas sector.
Today they build, install and commission offshore works in the Persian Gulf and India.
The problem.
The customer uses cold storage rooms on their offshore platforms in order to store various food products. They were looking for a reliable way to sanitize these storages, and improve their storage capabilities.
The solution.
We at Mellifiq were chosen to supply reliable ozone systems in order to ensure hygienic conditions for long–term food storage, and prolong the freshness of vegetables, meat and other foods for long periods at sea.
For these purposes, the customer chose the Ozonetech ACT–5000 ozone generator. The ACT-5000 is particularly suited for larger spaces; it is encased in stainless steel and you can easily access all controls on the unit’s backside. The ozone generator has built-in monitoring for all vital parameters and the unit shuts down in case there are any errors. There is also a possibility to control the unit by using the built-in 4-20 mA interface.
