Mellifiq Signs Multi-Year Supply Agreement with Käppala

Käppala, one of Sweden’s largest and most advanced wastewater treatment plants, treats wastewater from more than 500,000 people across eleven municipalities, as well as from schools, industries, and hospitals. In total, approximately 50 million cubic meters of wastewater are treated every year.

Käppala has now signed a multi-year agreement with Mellifiq for the supply of filter media used for odor control at the treatment plant. Following a thorough evaluation process, in which both performance and commercial competitiveness were assessed, Mellifiq was selected as the supplier.

Wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and biogas facilities all face a common challenge: hydrogen sulfide (H₂S) and volatile organic compounds (VOCs) form naturally in the process. Keeping these emissions under control is essential for surrounding communities and for maintaining a safe and pleasant working environment on site.

Mellifiq provides high-performance odor and gas treatment, tailored to the specific gas composition, concentration, and airflow of each installation. Our solutions can be supplied as refills for existing odor control filters or as part of a complete Nodora air treatment system.
