Leader in animal feed production chose our ozone system to tackle extensive contamination

Our customer is a leading company within the animal nutrition industry, having a history spanning three centuries and also being active in other areas such as the energy and agricultural sectors.

In 2017, they contacted Mellifiq regarding serious issues caused by legionella contamination at their plant in Denmark. They requested a solution for disinfecting the ventilation in the production area.

The problem.

As in other food industries, bacteria such as legionella and salmonella pose a serious contamination threat. In case of a potential infestation of the animal feed transportation ducts, the pathogens can spread further and put the production area at serious risk.

The solution.

The company chose to prevent this issue by sanitizing the entire transportation duct system with ozone. We at Mellifiq provided them with a solution consisting of five Ozonetech RENA Pro ozone systems.
