Mellifiq Secures Another Train Wash Water Treatment Project in Southern Sweden

We are proud to announce that Mellifiq has been entrusted with a full turnkey contract for treating wastewater from a major train depo wash facility in southern Sweden.
The assignment covers every step of the process – from on-site preparation and design to installation and commissioning — reflecting the trust placed in our end-to-end water treatment expertise.

The treatment system replaced currently installed equipment in order to comply with regional effluent standards. The process water is particularly challenging, containing a complex mix of heavy metals, nutrients, suspended solids and dissolved organics.

The delivery includes a redundant setup of Mellifiq’s revolutionary Axopur® system, specifically engineered to remove water constituents with high removal efficacy and low specific energy consumption. The installation will also feature advanced automation with pH adjustment, solids phase handling systems, full system integration for robust, continuous operation with advanced automation.

Mellifiq is adapting the process building to fit seamlessly with the Axopur® installation including new ventilation and safety features.

Commissioning is expected to be completed by autumn 2025, with the plant fully operational shortly thereafter. This project is another example of how Mellifiq supports critical infrastructure with sustainable, high-performance water treatment solutions.
