H2S removal.

Hydrogen sulfide (H2S) is a colorless, flammable, highly toxic gas that occurs during drilling and production of crude oil and natural gas. The smell of H2S reminds of rotten egg.

H2S is also produced by anaerobic digestion, or microbial decomposition of organic matter in the absence of oxygen. Pump stations, public utilities such as sewers, wastewater treatment and various industrial processes such as the production of biogas, produce H2S as a byproduct.

Hydrogen sulfide is very corrosive to most equipment such as pipelines, compressors, gas storage tanks, engines, etc. Effective removal of H2S from the production process creates huge benefits for most industries.

Activated carbon and various catalytic filter media are very effective in the process of removing sulphur compounds, also referred to as desulfurization, from the exhaust emissions and flue gas.
