Mellifiq Commissions Two Complete Treatment Lines of Ozone-Skimmers  for Aquaculture

Mellifiq has successfully completed the commissioning of a complete RAS (Recirculating Aquaculture System) water treatment at the Guttorp aquaculture facility in Åland. The installation integrates cutting-edge ozone technology and a range of high-performance components to optimize water quality and create ideal conditions for sea trout, pike, and whitefish cultivation.

The system consists of two treatment lines – one for fry and one for smolt – with a combined total flow of 550 m³/h. It features state-of-the-art ozone generators, protein fractionators, and ORP measurement systems, along with custom engineered turn-key system including pumps, valves, and injectors to ensure efficient ozone dosing.  This setup not only includes components but also showcases our handling of advanced process engineering and expert installation, ensuring optimal performance and reliability with a fully integrated control unit monitors water parameters in real time, maintaining a stable and controlled aquatic environment.

By utilizing ozone technology to prevent bacterial growth and protein fractionators to remove organic matter, the system ensures a controlled and stable aquatic environment. This innovative approach supports the optimal development of fish stocks, ultimately enhancing their resilience, and survival rates upon release into natural ecosystems.

The successful deployment of this solution underscores Mellifiq’s ongoing commitment to advancing sustainable aquaculture practices. By combining and integrating high-performance water treatment technologies, we continue to drive innovation in aquaculture water quality, fish health, and environmental responsibility – setting new standards for sustainable fish farming.
