Introduction.
Substantial reduction of bacterial development thanks to Mellifiq ozone technology
In this project, we are visiting a fish farm that uses a Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS).
Water quality and fish mortality have always been difficult challenges for RAS fish farms. Our client reached out to us and wanted us to design a treatment solution that would help them keep their water clean and their fish healthy.
The solution.
We at Mellifiq delivered an Ozonetech ICT-60 ozone generator to our client.
The Ozonetech ICT-60 generates highly concentrated ozone while barely taking up any place with its compact design. If needed, it is possible to adjust the amount of ozone that is produced and if anything abnormal ever occurs, the system is fitted with security mechanisms that shut down the system automatically.
Evaluation.
Thanks to our ozone treatment system, the water is now much purer and any bacterial growth is successfully prevented, which leads to higher survival rates for the fish.
An on-site evaluation showed that fingerling mortality rates had decreased by 10%!
