    Inauguration of new offices

    Mellifiq shows no signs of slowing down amidst the pandemic and branches out with new offices in Scandinavia. 2021 marked the inauguration of three new offices located in both Sweden and Finland.

    Ozone Academy transitions to Mellifiq Academy

    After more than 10 years of educating and enlightening the market on the newest trends of advanced air and water treatment, Ozone Academy transitions to Mellifiq Academy.

    Saniray is launched

    Saniray, our UV-brand for air- and water applications is launched as Mellifiq’s fourth brand, a spin off from Ozonetech.

    Mellifiq is awarded the ISO 9001 & ISO 14001

    As a testament to our endless effort to improve quality and environmental sustainability we were ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified. The certification process was passed with flying colors and has since been renewed multiple times.

    Mellifiq, the new company group is born

    Mellifiq is introduced as an environmental services company group, gathering well established brands Ozonetech, Nodora and Water Maid under one umbrella.

    The Impact- and the Future-prize

    Swedish Financial Daily, Dagens Industri presented Mellifiq with two honorary awards; the Impact- and the Future-prize.
  • 2019

    Purveyors to the Royal Court of Oman

    By Appointment to the Royal Court of Oman, Mellifiq delivered a number of RENA Commercial Kitchen systems for the Sultan’s palaces in Nizwa and Sohar. The delivery was preceded by a detailed procurement process led by the Royal Court of Affairs with numerous competitors, where Ozonetech’s systems emerged as winners.

    The Swedish Ventilation Industry Association

    The Swedish Ventilation Industry Association recognized our CTO, Behrang Gilanpour for his extensive contribution to harmonize the European standard for purification equipment in commercial kitchens and restaurants.

    Awarded our fourth Gasell

    For the fourth consecutive year, Ozonetech is awarded a Gasell. An award given by the Swedish financial daily, Dagens Industri, to promote fast growing companies who at least double their revenue every three years.

    Leading in micropollutants

    Ozonetech receives its first multimillion euro order for delivery of a full-scale pharmaceutical residue treatment at a wastewater treatment plant. The scope of supply consist of design, engineering, project management, installation and commissioning and full post-delivery verification as well as all the premium hardware needed.

    Partner Certification program

    The company continues to deliver its solutions and systems on a global scale. To be able to offer the same premium service everywhere, a certification program is deployed to ensure the quality of new partners around the world.

    E-Prize energy award

    Ozonetech is awarded the E-Prize 2017 in the Energy Efficiency category. E-prize is Swedens largest energy award, a collaboration between E.ON and Veckans Affärer, one of Swedens largest business magazines.

    New series of turnkey solutions

    Launch of multiple RENA Solutions – turnkey and fully automated integrated ozone systems for large industrial applications, revolutionizing the market. Ozonetech is no longer only product supplier but also system integrator.

    Ozonetech is awarded the prestigious Seal of Excellence from the European Commission. The award is an endorsement and a quality label for a sustainable business model.

    Global renowned customer base

    Ozonetech grows with new global customers. Cooperation agreements signed with partners in South Korea, Germany, Austria, Turkey and Finland.

    New appearance

    Ozonetech revamps its graphical profile again after 11 years. The rebranding resulted in a new company name and a brand new color profile along with the new logotype.

    Awarded its first Gasell award

    Ozonetech receives its first Gasell award, an award given by Sweden’s leading business daily to fast-growing companies that are profitable and double their revenue for three consecutive years.

    The company expands globally

    To meet the growing international demand of Ozonetech’s products and solutions, local sales offices are established in Helsinki (Finland) and Tallinn (Estonia). A second sales office in Sweden is also established in Gothenburg.

    RENA Kitchen Solutions is introduced

    RENA Kitchen Solutions, a ground-breaking, modular turn-key high-performance ozone system with above-industry-standard reliability and low maintenance is launched. The solution efficiently treats the hot, odorous and greasy exhaust air from commercial buildings.

    Ozonetech awarded Pioneer of the Year

    The company and the entrepreneurs behind it are awarded, by His Majesty the King Carl XVI Gustaf, the prestigious Pioneer of the Year award.
  • 2014

    Expanding to a new facility

    Ozonetech’s exponential growth requires larger facilities. The company moves to a brand-new office and production facility of 1,500 square meters in Västberga, just south of Stockholm. The turnover reaches approx. EUR 1,000,000.
  • 2011

    Ozone Academy is launched

    To educate the market and fill the well-needed knowledge-gap of the benefits of ozone treatment, Ozone Academy is launched. Ozone Academy has since then educated thousands of participants across the globe.
  • 2008

    Rapidly growing operation

    Ozonetech continues to grow rapidly and employs more people. The operation has to move again this time to 150 sqm in central Stockholm. Turnover exceeds EUR 100,000.
  • 2007

    Management buyout

    Ozonetech is 100% acquired by the Gilanpour brothers Behrang and Behrooz, both part of the previous management team, and still the major shareholders. Operation is moved to Luma in Hammarby Sjöstad (Stockholm). The new office covered 35 sqm and the new owners restart the business on their own. The turnover was less than EUR 35,000 during that first year.

    Bengt Ågerup

    Bengt Ågerup, the internationally renowned Swedish entrepreneur and scientist, founder of Q-Med, acquired 100% of Ozonetech to help boost the development of the company and its unique technology.
  • 1999

    Drinking water for war-torn areas

    FMV, the Swedish Defense Materiel Administration, acquires a dozen of water treatment trailers to secure clean and safe drinking water for the Swedish peace force stationed in Kosovo (former Yugoslavia).
  • 1998

    Ozonetech goes online

    Ozonetech launched its first website and could now offer its products to a global market.
  • 1995

    First commercial product is launched

    The compact and smart ozone generator Airmaid is launched as Ozonetech’s first product. It was intended for odor removal and surface disinfection.
  • 1994

    The journey continues in Sweden

    One of the glassblowing factory founder’s sons migrates to Sweden in the late 1980s and founds an accounting consultancy firm. The parent company of the entire group, Gilanpour Holding, was founded a few years later.
  • 1993

    Ozonetech is born

    The Swedish entrepreneur and philanthropist, Sven Kempe, owns the company Linum that manufactured textiles in India. Knowing that textile coloring requires large volumes of water and the need for treating it made him invest in a newly founded cleantech company in 1993. Sven quickly realized the advantages and potential of ozone treatment for color removal of the industrial wastewater effluent.

    The company grows

    The factory is a success and the company grows to over 150 people as the brothers’ unique know-how and production process gains increased attention.
  • 1934

    It all began in early 1930s in Babol

    The Gilanpour brothers launched a glass blowing factory in 1934 in Babol, in northern Iran. Their unique and trade secret glass coloring and coating ceramics technique became their hallmark.
