Activated Carbon in water applications

Endocrine-Disrupting Chemicals (EDCs) removal.

Endocrine disrupting compounds (EDCs), such as amitrol, nonylphenol, and bisphenol-A, with their hormone-like behaviors are causing significant toxic effects on humans and wildlife, by affecting their endocrine system.

The majority of EDCs are considered emerging environmental micropollutant and found in all components of the environment, including surface and groundwater, wastewater, soil, outdoor and indoor air and in the contaminated foods from a variety of sources such as runoff from agricultural activities, sewage treatment plants, leakage from septic tanks etc.

Treating water with GAC, granulated activated carbon and PAC, Powdered activated carbon is a robust and reliable process and very effective in removal of EDCs.
