Mellifiq Treats PFAS and Heavy Metals at Construction Site
Mellifiq has initiated a water treatment project aimed at purifying drainage water from an ongoing residential construction site. Excavation activities often generate groundwater containing complex mixtures of contaminants, including PFAS, heavy metals, oil fractions, aliphatic hydrocarbons, and suspended solids.
Initial water analysis from the site revealed elevated concentrations of several heavy metals, such as lead, copper, nickel, chromium, and zinc, highlighting the importance of robust treatment solutions for drainage water generated during construction activities.
To address these challenges, Mellifiq rapidly deployed multiple mobile containerized treatment systems within only 14 days. The multi-stage solution combines several containers with advanced technologies from our portfolio, including AquaFloc™, RENA Vivo, and Water Maid. The treatment process integrates precipitation and flocculation, ozonation, sand filtration, and activated carbon filtration.
This project highlights Mellifiq’s ability to deliver flexible and scalable solutions for complex water treatment challenges in construction and environmental remediation projects.
