EPC project concluded: Drinking Water Plant

Mellifiq has concluded an EPC project consisting of a drinking water plant in Östersund Municipality (Sweden) designed to secure and enhance the local drinking water supply. The project, being the perfect match for Mellifiq, involved designing, constructing, and commissioning a state-of-the-art drinking water treatment facility as a turnkey delivery.

This project was no exception and showcases our ability to deliver tailored and innovative solutions that address specific community needs.

The development process was comprehensive, beginning with meticulous design and planning of the facility. This phase included securing building permits, conducting geological surveys, and choosing materials that harmonized with the local environment and regulation. Mellifiq then moved on to detailed planning, covering every aspect of the facility’s infrastructure, from electrical systems to safety and water treatment equipment.

Construction was executed with precision, incorporating advanced technologies such as membrane filtration and UV disinfection. The facility utilizes existing boreholes as raw water sources, enhanced by new pumps and infrastructure to ensure efficient water extraction and treatment. The treated water is then either stored in an underground reservoir or directly supplied to the water network.

This project not only underscores Mellifiq’s role as a leading EPC (Engineering, procurement and construction) contractor but also highlights our dedication to providing secure, high-quality drinking water solutions anywhere in the world.
