Rencom counts on Mellifiq technology combination for efficient and sustainable odor control

Rencom is a Swedish startup operating in the field of bioplastic. By processing lignin, they convert wood byproducts into bioplastic, which can be used to manufacture environmentally friendly consumer goods. However, processing woods generate odors, due to terpenes and similar VOC (Volatile Organic Compounds). As Rencom was soon reaching the production phase, they decided to take a proactive approach, preventing any possible odor emission. For this complex case, we designed different solutions, involving various combinations of ozone, UV and activated carbons. Each combination delivered outstanding results in terms of odor removal, providing a broad range of options for our client.
