High-class hotel raises quality standards with effective ozone-based kitchen exhaust air treatment
Introduction.
Mellifiq delivers high-class air treatment for a world-class hotel
Our current customer is a part of a large, global hotel chain. The hotel chain operates several hotel brands, and the hotel in Sweden that we are visiting in this project is part of its high-class brand.
Hotels that are part of the same brand can also be found in Europe, the Middle East, Africa and APAC.
The problem.
High-class hotels are one of our most common customers when it comes to treating kitchen exhaust air: decreasing the risk of fire and preventing odors from spreading in the hotel are incredibly important factors to make the guests’ visits as pleasant and safe as possible.
The exhaust air from commercial kitchens is full of grease and odor particles. If these particles are not treated properly, grease will start to build up in the ducts. Grease buildups are particularly dangerous since if they ever come in contact with a fire source, they can cause dangerous duct fires that are very hard to put out. When it comes to the odor particles, they can cause odor problems that are incredibly disruptive for both visitors and hotel staff.
The solution.
We at Mellifiq delivered and installed an Ozonetech RENA 100 system at the hotel, where it treats the hotel kitchen exhaust air. The RENA 100 is part of our Ozonetech RENA Kitchen Solutions series.
The RENA Kitchen Solutions systems are specifically designed for commercial kitchens. They can be placed in a room or space close to the kitchen so that they do not come into direct contact with the greasy cooking fumes.
The systems use ozone to break down the grease and odor particles in the exhaust air, purifying the exhaust air and preventing grease buildups in the ducts as well as bad odors. Reducing grease buildups also means that the fire risk decreases, and the treated exhaust air makes a potential heat recovery process much more efficient.

Guests and staff can now rest easy knowing that the kitchen exhaust air is being treated efficiently at the hotel.
In addition to the benefits already mentioned, the internal security systems of the Ozonetech RENA Kitchen Solutions series is very robust. The system shuts down in case of any anomaly, and we at Mellifiq are able to provide support and guidance at distance in order to resolve the problem.
