Introduction.
Chemical barrier for making Stockholm water supply even better
Our current client is an organisation consisting of several municipalities in Sweden.
The organisation treats the drinking water for the entire northern Stockholm region, delivering water of the highest quality to the inhabitants in the region.
The problem.
The facility in need of our assistance is one of the water treatment plants that our client operates.
As the plant was expanding its operations and capacity even further, the organisation felt that it was natural to involve Mellifiq in their R&D project for evaluating advanced oxidation treatment.
The solution.
As project consultants, we at Mellifiq were happy to deliver an Ozonetech RENA Vivo system to our client.
Our RENA Vivo series consists of state-of-the-art water treatment systems. Thanks to their turn-key design, the systems are ready to start operating as soon as they are delivered and on top of that, installing them is a breeze. The systems produce the ozone needed for the high quality water treatment process by using the ambient air as its raw material. Due to this, there is no need to purchase any additional material and you avoid having to transport, store and refill the material as well. The ozone leaves no traces of itself after it has done its job treating the water: after the treatment process, the ozone decomposes into normal oxygen.
At the plant, our treatment system had the specific tasks of acting as a long-term chemical barrier against micropollutants and to elevate the water purity even further.
Evaluation.
The project has been a resounding success and now serves as the basis for a complete redesign of the entire water treatment process.
Thanks to our treatment solution, our client is able to make the drinking water reach previously unattainable quality levels!
