The production of bottled water and its numerous varieties that generally include still and carbonated natural water, mineral water, vitamin water, and different flavoured water, to mention a few, is increasing each year.

In the bottled water production, the water treatment process starts with filtration of the raw source water that originates either from tap water or well water with activated carbon filters, which are the main filtration systems in bottled water production.

Water is also used in the cleaning process of the production equipment and the bottling system.
