Drinking water

Natural water sources, from ground to surface water: lakes, rivers and seas, are daily treated through water treatment plants around the world to eventually become clean drinking water.

Water treatment plants use processes such as coagulation, flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, oxidation, disinfection and adsorption to turn water safe to drink.

Thanks to its unique characteristics, of large surface area, an immense distribution network of various pore sizes and its high adsorption capacity, activated carbon has come to play an important role in the fine water treatment process.

Activated carbon, through GAC, granulated activated carbon and PAC, powdered activated carbon filters, ensures the removal of organic impurities, toxins, chemicals, and is also used for taste and odor control.
