Mellifiq Removes Heavy Metals in Drainage Water

Mellifiq has successfully implemented a water treatment system at a construction site for one of Sweden’s largest developers. This project addresses the complex challenges of purifying drainage water containing aliphatic compounds, suspended solids, and heavy metals.

Launched in October 2023 and operational by March 2024, our tailored solution meets stringent requirements for handling groundwater during construction activities. Key components of our treatment system include: Dual Sedimentation Systems: utilizing two AquaFloc™ 24-S units with automatic flocculant dosing for effective particle removal.

Advanced Oxidation Process: enhanced by fine filtration followed by ozonation and adsorption to achieve the highest purification levels.

Weather-Proof Container-Based Setup: ensures mobility, durability, and stability, making our systems adaptable to various environmental conditions.

Exceptional purification rates have been achieved, with 100% removal of suspended solids and an average of 90% reduction in COD and heavy metals (Lead, Copper, Zinc, Cadmium, Chromium, and Nickel).

Designed to meet new regulations; our system effectively manages varying groundwater flow rates up to 20 m³/h, ensuring consistent performance.
